Adnoc Final Day Weekend Sale
The turnout couldn't be better; 1 Citreon Xantia 1.8 wagon, 2 Kelisas, 1 Myvi, 1 Nissan Frontier (came back for the 2nd OCI), 2 Iswaras, 1 Putra, 1 Perdana (Mivec transplanted), 1 Peugeot 406...
Those who did the engine flush + grounding kit (except the Frontier and Peugeot), again had positive remarks on the lightness and more responsiveness from their engine after the entire process and mentioned that it was worth the money spent...
Thus, we would like to thank all those who had taken their time off on a precious Sunday (which is supposingly to be a rest day) to sweat out with us....
But seeing all the car owners leaving with a smile on their face makes it a fruitful and memorable day again....
one feedback from yesterdays' car owners:
by forfunonly (ride: Citreon Xantia 1.8 wagon)
today and the engine feels quieter, more powerful, much much lighter.. Also have since a week ago changed to Petronas Primax 3, and all is so smooth, At the Adnoc Engine service day in Kepong, this morning, no additive or engine flush was used. Rather, the Adnoc mineral oil was used to flush the old deposits. After 3 flushes of 4.5 liters each, topped up with Adnoc semi Syn 10/40, the car feels almost new again.
cont-
the following took place:
1) 3 Flushes of approx 4.5 litres of 20w50 Adnoc mineral = 13.5litres + oil filter RM30/4litre bottle x 4 bottles = RM120) each flushing took about 15 minutes.
2) 4.3 litres of semi-syn Adnoc 10w40 + oil filter + labour + free grounding kit + goody bag worth MYR20 (all for RM120)
At the end of this, they inspected to check for any leakages, and thankfuly there was none.
Total costs RM240.
No additive or engine flushes were used as the guys at Adnoc did not recommend as
1. possibility of oil seals damaged due to this
2. the Adnoc Mineral 20w50 has detergent properties that is able to clear old deposits, etc.
The first drainage was very thick and black, even though I serviced my car a month ago. The finished product of the 3rd flush was clear as the drained mineral oil was still new and if you asked me, I could drive away with it, without having to change to the semi-syn. Now, I hardly need to rev my car to accelerate, the engine feels so light and for MR240 this was well worth it. I will keep you guys updated after 1 week's driving.....

OK...my turn to review....
Visited Adnoc Sale on Sunday, arrived there around 1pm.... Met Nelson (sorry ar...didn't recognise you lar)...met up wiramod, alan, meiq, adnoc and the rest....
Alan briefly explained on the flushing, adnoc oil and stuff... Started work around 1.30pm, poured all the old mineral oil out....damn black like guinness and Alan commented that the oil got bubbles... ....not good. Oil all out and 1st flushing begins (20 minutes wait).....once complete, the oil is a bit clearer..... so, Alan proceeds for 2nd flush (15 minutes wait)...once complete, the oil resembles a 1972 Cabernat Sauvignon Wine...hahaha... 3rd Flush...and the oil is pure red....DONE!!!
Poured in Adnoc Pearl 10w/30....
Next, flush out the Gear Oil....and WTF!! Alan showed me that the oil contains little bits of metal...which is normal....??
So, after having a tough time to open the bolt and seeing Alan sweating all over, GB Oil replaced....DONE....Time..4pm...and my MPSL is getting sleepy and restless due to the heat....hehehe
OK, the best part of all.....driving the car after the treatment... Took the car straight out to NKVE....Accelerated like normal....and the RPM is climbing steadily to 5K on Gear 4....engine quiet....half way thru the pedal and MPSL sleeping... hehehe.... Changed to Gear 5...climbing to 160km/h...MPSL still sleeping... pressing down more....and the fun starts.... touching 160km/h liao...then MPSL tiba tiba woke up and .....too bad.... Most importantly, I felt that the engine response now is alot better than before.... lighter...accelerates damn steady and fast....damn quiet when idling...
NO REGRETS!!!! A RECOMMENDED PRODUCT!!!
Eventually I will keep updating on feedbacks on the engine flushing + grounding kit process periodically... In the mean time for those who missed this event and are keen to know more, please do not hesitate to contact me so that we can arrange another session of this event at a place of your convenience....
